The Wedding Planner
Now, there are several wedding dresses in the movie, it being a movie about weddings and all, but the one that ends up NOT in a wedding with miss JLo herself in it is the most dramatic. Featuring a pillbox hat and half veil, this knee length two piece wedding dress has hints of vintage all over it. Simply stunning for a casual or even city hall wedding (which is where she wears it in the movie).
In Her Shoes
Now we love Toni Collette in Muriel's Wedding (a movie not be be missed and soon to be blogged) but we shouldn't miss her as a bride in "In Her Shoes" In a beautiful tea length wedding gown having a very casual wedding at a Jamaican restaurant. You have to wait until the bitter end for the wedding scene, but its well worth it.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Here we have two weddings (similar to SATC) first a big white wedding that goes awry with Jessica Alba in a mermaid cut gown with a lace half veil, and the second a surprise wedding in Japan with an White kimono lined with red. There are very few full shots of the bride in the second wedding, but her hair is something to be imitated.
Sex and the City
These girls do it again and again with fabulous couture wedding gowns, and a variety of weddings. Not to be missed (although not shown here) is Miranda's park wedding in warm amber tone wedding dress. Also use Carries ACTUAL as inspiration for a city hall wedding with casual reception.
My Fair Lady
Both these dresses are to die for, and the movie will have you in vintage fashion dreamland. Audreys classic style is draped all over this movie.
Sabrina
This dress is Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn's) Grand black and white ball gown. It would also not be amiss at a modern day wedding. The double skirted dress has a giant floofy train that would satisfy an elegant bride.
Funny Face
This movie has one of the most famous movie wedding gowns. However, much ignored is the rose gown from an earlier fashion shoot portion of the movie. This would also make a very princessy gown.
